What is National Charity League?
National Charity League members are mothers and daughters in grades seven through twelve who indicate an interest in and commitment to community service, leadership development and cultural experiences. The organization strengthens the mother-daughter relationship through the same involvement. National Charity League mother-daughter teams are responsible, dedicated, skilled volunteers actively engaged in local community work.

Mothers and daughters serve the communities in many ways. Some of the activities that the San Francisco Chapter engage in are: baking and serving meals for homeless family shelters, facilitating birthday and holiday parties for children in shelters, organizing book drives to get books into the hands of children who would not otherwise own books of their own, knitting hats for premature babies and terminally ill patients, socializing with Alzheimer patients, doing heavy lifting at a food bank, sorting toys at a holiday toy drive, and assisting with a variety of needs at a local animal shelter, to name a few. New philanthropies are added regularly to give members a wonderful menu of activities to participate in.
